Q: Will 2009 Honda Civic si wheels fit a 5th generation honda prelude?
Are they 17in or 16in and how wide are they? I know the bolt pattern is 5*114.
A: yes i have seen bb6 wheels on a 06 civic.
Q: 2009 Honda Civic Si Sedan. Parts Fitment?
Well, my parents are helping me get a new car soon. Its my first car, but they said it has to last me until i can get my own. That is why I turned to Honda. I am currently looking at the Tafetta White 2009 Civic Si sedan. I have been browsing around on sites such as procivic.com and andysautosport.com. I have noticed that '09 Si sedan parts aren't really that easy to find. I have a few questions.
1. Would regular civic sedan taillights work with the Si model?
2. Is procivic.com trustworthy?
3. Does anyone else know a good site for parts such as taillights, rims, exhaust systems, etc? I already know about JC Whitney btw.
Thanks
A: I'll tell you a secret if you promise not to get any altezza tail lights...
There is a big following for the 8th generation civic already. Tons of aftermarket performance and aesthetic parts. Check out www.8thcivic.com and click on the message board link on the top. This is a forum where you'll find tons of parts. You don't have to join to browse.
Best site I've come across for the civic sedan is Corsport USA. Search for it.
Just so you know, all parts for the sedans are interchangeable, minus front grille area parts which differ. Most of the coupe parts fit the sedan as well (not aesthetic, just performance). But with any exhaust thats made for the coupe, you'll need a 2" extension piece.
Q: So I just got an 2009 Honda Civic Si, now what do i do to m ake it a legit racer?
I know the basics like a turbo, and an intake. What else though?
A: Sell your SI and step it up to an Subaru STi. No, but to step your race game up, first of all get rid of the bullshit suspension. Go with some coilovers/strut bars/sway bars for better control. Then, you might want to upgrade the tires. Get some real sticky bitches so you can grip around corners, and since your down there, might as well change out the breaks since you're gonna need more stopping power for the next mods. Go with brembos/Hawks/EBC. Next, you'll want to get rid of any bullshit you don't need and replace bullshit stock parts with better, lightweight aftermarket parks, i.e pulleys/headers/wheels/hood/trunk/doors. Go carbon fiber, can't go wrong with it cuz that shit is light. Get an Injen cold air intake, then get a nice performance-enhancing/nice sounding exhaust system. May I suggest Greddy/Apexi/LSD or Tanabe? Avoid that Skunk2 ricer bullshit. After you do these things, your ride will be ready for the meat and gravy. Turbo that bitch out. Intercooler = NEEDED at this point. After all this, you might want to consider some Sparco seats (overrated in my opinion) or some Recaros. 5 points harnesses and maybe a half cage. But whatever you do, do not fuckin zoom around town trying to race Subarus and Nissans and shit. That just pisses us off. Just kick back and know your ride is the shit and you'll help the image people have of Hondas. Be a tuner, not a ricer.
Q: What rims to get for 2009 honda civic si?
i want 18s
i dont want rims thatll cheapen my car and make it look like crap
any rims in mind that would look really nice but wouldnt stand out ridiculously? im not into that real riced out stuff
A: http://www.tirerack.com has a great selection of rims. There are some really light weight rims that are pretty affordable.
Q: Will putting LED tail lights on a 2009 Honda Civic Si void or otherwise affect the warranty?
Would making such minor parts replacements void my powertrain/general/etc. warranty? If so, which part of the warranty would it void? I'm just curious. Thanks so much everybody!
A: By law, it will only void the warranty for the specific parts affected by the modification. So, basically, if your new LED tail lights fail they would not be covered. If you have an electrical system problem, and they can trace it to your lights, then that may not be covered as well. Making this modification will not void your entire warranty.
Q: Where can i get good quality interior lights for my honda civic si 2009?
I want some lights down in the feet area of my honda preferably red to match the rest of the car lighting, i want something not too expensive and something easy to install, also i would like the lights to brighten up the area pretty well, any answers would be great, thanks!
A: You can buy Honda interior lights on eBay at

Q: Is there a difference between the 2010 and 2009 Honda civic si?
A: No major mechanical differences between the '09 and '10 Civic Si, at least not in the USA market. Both have the 197hp 2.0 i-vtec 4cyl with a 6spd manual trans and the suspension setups are virtually identical if not completely identical. Feature-wise I'm not aware of any significant differences, and stylistically they are also virtually identical.
Q: What car is faster a Buggati Veyron or a 2009 Honda Civic Si?
A: A Bugatti Veyron.
It's the second fastest car in the world with a top speed of 253mph and a 0-62 mph time of 2.5 seconds, the Honda doesn't even compare mate.
Q: 2009 Honda Civic Si or 2010 Mazda3 ?
Im buying a car soon, and Ive been lookin around.
I really like the 2009 Honda Civic Si Sedan and the 2010 Mazda3 4 door.
I dont know too much about Mazda.. but I really like that car from what Ive seen
Ive always been a Honda girl though too and I love Civic Si's.
Which one do you think is better?
Actually, Im probably a way better driver than you.
Im a really good driver. Passed my test with a perfect score, first try.
Ive been racing since I was 16 and Ive never been in a wreck.
So tell me again that women cant drive
A: The Si...just don't get behind the wheel, because you already know that women shouldn't be driving.
lol
Q: turbo charge 2009 honda civic si...?
i wanna turbo charge my 2009 honda civic si sedan, is it cheaper to buy a turbo kit, or buy the parts separately???
A: Buy a turbo kit.
Greddy or AllJap
Greddy needs to be tuned once you install it. Easier to install. One of the cheapest and reliable turbo kits out there.
AllJap is very tricky to install but it comes with a Hondata Reflash for your stock ECU that will make your ride ready to be used once you have every on. It is the most expensive but is the one that makes highest horsepower. Stage 1 300@4psi whp, stage 2 380whp@8.5psi, stage 3 over 400whp.
I would stay away of making a custom turbo setup for this car. There is no Hondata Kpro for this civic yet. You will need piggy back to tune it, the only ones that I know that are working pretty well are the Greddy Emanage Ultimate and the AEM Fi/C. But they will only let you control fuel and ignition. No VTC setup like the Hondata ECU.
You can use a standalone but say good bye to your dash because it will not work. No Rpm needle, speedometer, etc...
There is plenty of information regarding forced induction on Civic SI 2006+ here:

Q: which car is faster, 2009 honda civic SI Vtec 195Hp 6-speed or the 2009 honda acord coop V6 6-speed 271Hp Vtec?
The 2009 Honda Civic Si coop has the 4Cyl Vtec 195Hp 6-speed. But, the 2009 Honda Acord Coop has a V6 271Hp Vtec with the 6-speed. so which one has the better performance and speed?
I am just curious, i own a 2003 Mach1, 2.0L whipple s/c, aluminum heads, bored cyl, and true dual magnaflow exhaust no cats. this car is for my sister, she is looking for a honda that has some pep.
A: Their about equal in 0-60. Both around 8 seconds, a bit faster if it's a good driver, overall it will just come down to the driver imo. The Accord has the bigger motor but the Civic has the weight advantage.
Test drive them both and see which one you like. Both have nice coupe versions as well. Accords and Civics have been modified for the last 20+ years so there is tons of aftermarket options and performance parts out there for these 2 cars to make them unique in every way possible.
Chris and Frank, learn something about motors. Then maybe you'll realize just because it isn't a domestic that doesn't mean it isn't fast and more cylinders doesn't always mean faster, there are a lot of factors that play a role in how fast a car is. I know a lot of 4-banger cars (Not just Honda's) that will walk all-over a V8 Rustang all day any day.
Q: Which is better 2007 V6 Ford Mustang or 2009 Honda Civic Si Sedan?
I'm thinking of trading in my 2007 Ford Mustang for a 2009 Honda Civic. Although I like the looks of my Mustang, I don't really enjoy the way it drives. It has a 210 Horsepower engine but the car is so heavy that it cant really put all that horsepower to good use. I also like the fact that it is more of a muscle car and that mine has the pony package(fog lights, dash enhancement, gauge color changer).
However, I've been looking at the 2009 Honda Civic Si. Although its not a muscle car I really like the way it looks. I'm thinking about getting the polished metal metallic civic with the under spoilers. I haven't decided weather or not it would be worth it to add the navigation system and bluetooth, do you think it would be worth it? The Si only has 197 Horsepower but I think that it puts it to work a lot better since its a smaller, lighter, front wheel drive car.
A: Do yourself a favor and buy the Honda.
hands down better car, more room inside, better engineered, faster, better gas mileage, better resale value, 100% more reliable then any Ford.
Don't think twice, in fact, stop reading this right now and go buy the Honda
Q: 2009 Honda Civic Si Coupe Grille on 2006-2008 models?
i plan on getting one of the 8th generation civic si coupes but not the 2009. i was wondering it is possible to put an 2009 grille on the previous models or is it too much trouble and i will be better off buying a 2009? Thanks for the help!
A: Yes you can, you would simply have to find the front faceplate. Basically the new 2009 is the face lift of the 06-08, it is still using the same body frame, but obviously new faceplate. If i were you i would look into the FD2 body kit for the US Honda civic Si. here is a picture. http://www.civictyper.org/images/fd2.jpg this is the Civic Type R, but many people in the US converted their Civic Si Sedan body to this styling.
Q: 2009 Honda Civic Si Coupe window tinting?
Does anyone know how much it would cost 2 have the windows on my new Si tinted. The back ones really dark nd the front ones slightly tinted. Thanx. I live in Los Angeles btw.
A: California tint Bro, best place to go. Its on Rosemead Blvd and Lower Azusa in the city of Rosemead. They do everything there, audio, lights, tint, rims. It should be around 140 or so
Q: What do you think about a 2009 honda civic Si?
i might get one
A: I went to the dealer yesterday and I will tell you straight up. The Civic is a very good car and has excellent quality but it is not very good looking at all. I saw a Civic Si in the parking lot and it looks a lot better than the regular Civic. So I think aesthetically it looks good. I don't know about the performance but I'm guessing it will be good because it is a Honda. Honda is very performance oriented because they make fast bikes, have a le mans racer (Acura, which is part of Honda), and they do Indy racing.
