Q: Whats the best intake to get for my 2009 honda civic lx-s?
Whats the best intake (short ram or cold air) to get for my 2009 honda civic lx-s? also, how much hp will it add? and what does a reflash do?
A: The one it already has. The stock intake is a cold air intake, and does just fine. Buying a shiny aftermarket one, is just getting a shiny pipe. Take it to a dyno, get it dyno tested before and after, and you'll realize very quickly that all your cash went away for nothing.
Q: I have a 2009 Honda Civic LX Coupe and pay $270 a month for insurance. Is that too much?
I have nothing on my record, never been pulled over or in an accident and have been driving for 3 years now.
I live in Oklahoma.
A: Not really. My sister had a 2008 Honda Civic LX last year and was paying $250 a month for insurance with the company Travelers Insurance. She was 19 years old and just starting driving a few months before she got the car.
Q: How much should i buy a 2009 Honda 4d Civic LX for?
I am looking to buy a Honda Civic LX 2009 model.
I know that in NEW condition, off the lot the MSRP is approx 20k and out the door with tax and stuff probably 22. My question is, for those of you who are professionals at car buying/haggling, how much is "fair/good" for me to buy this car for using the "out the door" price?
Maybe some will say "if MSRP is 20k, and if you can get them to do 20k 'out the door' and alarm system included" then it will be a good haggling on my part?
I am not looking for a GPS on the civic, just your normal , standard, automatic 4-door sedan Civic 2009 LX. no particular add ons (i know it should come with AC, auto windows, etc...)'
any suggestions?
A: Yeah. Buy a used car for 10k. Dollar cost average the rest into mutual funds over the next couple of years and then let it grow for the next 20 and put your future kids through University.
Q: I just got a new Honda Civic 2009 LX. When should I change tires on it?
I just got a new Honda Civic 2009 LX. When should I change tires on it?
A: Well it depends. If you mistreat your car often then sooner rather then later.
But if you're normal with it, then not until i would say 4-5 years.
Q: I just purchased a 2009 Honda Civic LX model, with added leather / heated seats for $19,900, under 6.49%..?
I just purchased a 2009 Honda Civic LX model, with added leather / heated seats for $19,900. Never having credit at all...I managed to get a 72 month loan for 6.49% being a new college graduate. Is this a good deal for a first car?
A: That is a HELL of a good deal for a first car.
72 months is a long time, but if you stay on top of your game, your credit is going to look very good.
DON'T GET IRRESPONSIBLE!!
All it takes is one late payment for a finance company to decide to repossess your car....
Congrats on your great deal.
If you can, try to send extra funds.
For example, if your payment is 305.69, pay 310, or do the 400 if you can.
The more you pay, the quicker you will shave down the 72 month term, and it'll help your credit look great. HOWEVER, be sure that there are no early-payoff or excess-payment penalties before you do this.
You also made a great choice.... if you take care of her, your civic will easily take you 300,000+ miles with low expense.
ALWAYS STAY UP-TO-DATE WITH YOUR MAINTENANCE, and I highly recommend you use ONLY FULL SYNTHETIC Motor Oil.
Q: What is the best cheapest air intake for a Honda civic LX 2009?
Oh and it's a lease, does that matter? Will it void my warranty?
A: see if they make an Stage 1 short ram Airaid for the civic, i have one in my ridgeline and love it, yes technically it will void your warranty BUT ONLY if they can prove that was the direct cause of the problem
but the reason i say a stage 1 is all you do is take the top off of the OEM intake box and put a cage on top of the bottom part of the OEM intake box, they are very easy to install and you can swap with your OEM within minutes if you need to take your civic in for repair to the dealer
Q: Do these wheels (rims) fit for my new 2009 Honda Civic LX?
I'm very new to car modifications and whatnot and I really want to get some decent rims for my brand new car (2009 Honda Civic LX Sedan).
Here is my car specifications in terms of wheels:
16" with Full Covers/16" Alloys (LX-S)
I am maybe thinking of buying:

Will those rims listed above fit my car/fit my tires? I don't want to get the wrong type of rims and end up going through the hassle of returning.
Also, if you can recommend me a decent priced black rims that would look good on my new black Civic, I would really appreciate it. Thanks
Also do all wheels that I buy online come with the right "lugs" for all four wheels? I'm not quite fond n if every wheel I buy come with the bolts and what not to install it properly.
A: Congrats on the new Civic, it's a great car. Size wise, the rims will fit your car, but your wheels have a 5 lug nut set up, not 4 like the rims your are looking at...so they won't mount. The lug nut size is 5x114.3, not 4x100 or 4x110. You will need new tires for your new rims too, they won't fit on your stock tires your steelies were on. Here are some black rims that are decently priced (I didn't know if you wanted 16's or 17's) filterSize=All&filterFinish=Painted&filterBrand=All&filterSpecial=false&filterNew=All&autoMake=Honda&autoModel=Civic+Sedan&autoYear=2009&autoModClar=LX&sort=Brand Try buying your wheels from here, because they can put your rims on your new tires, and they have great customer service. Hope this helps.
Q: Trading in my 1998 dodge caravan, using this cash for clunkers deal, to get a 2009 honda civic LX?
I'm not sure if its better to go for it or wait until my van actually "dies" and then just get a second-hand car then. Plus, I feel that the civic is stuffy, maybe I should go for a camry or accord, but then again I'll have to increase my budget by like $3000......ughh i hate car shopping, please help!!!!
A: It probably won't qualify anyway. If the estimated fuel economy new was 18 or better, it won't. And the model giving the worst fuel economy, the Caravan, with all wheel drive and the 3.8 L engine weighs in as 14 city, 22 highway for an overall of 18, so it doesn't qualify.
Q: A 2009 Honda Civic Coupe LX stickers for $18,765, How much would I actually have to pay?
I know noone pays the MSRP when you buy a new car, and im sure alot of people bought this car, so what should i expect to pay, you dont have to include tax
Im waiting for the CARS rebate "cash for clunkers" Do you think because im using this program, they're not going to lower the MSRP?
A: I would say if you sell it to me for $16,000, I'll buy it this second. If they say no, walk away. don't pay more than $16,500 for it. While Honda is still selling alot of cars, cars aren't selling like they used to. That means that dealers want to move them out because for everyday the car sits on the lot, they are losing money.
Q: What is a good price for Honda Civic Sedan 2009 LX-S?
I am thinking about buying a Honda Civic Sedan 2009 LX-S, with all the standard features. Did any of you buy civic recently? How much did you pay? Right now I am thinking about around $16,000-Can I go below that?. what do you guys think?
A: Is that out the door? That's a great price if it is. You can try going lower... the answer is no until you ask.
Q: What are comparable Toyotas to a 2009 Honda Civic LX? I want to trade in my car...?
A: If I was you, I'd buy the new 2010 Ford Fusion. It's a lot better than the Camry, Corolla and Civic.
Q: 2010 Mazda 3 i touring or 2009 Honda Civic LX?
The Mazda is newer, so negotiating the price will be a little harder, but other than that what do you guys think?
A: id get the civic...it retians its value better...
**correction to the other poster....all the newer civics come with ivtec....
Q: In the 2009 Honda Civic LX, what is the hole UNDER the cigarette lighter for?? PLEASE ANSWER!!!!!?
is it for headphones or an mp3 player or what?
A: It is the auxiliary port to hook up any device that has a headphone jack. ie: iPod/Zune/cassette player
You will need to get a double male headphone jack for it to work. You can get one at Best Buy or Radio Shack. Plug one end in to your source(MP3/iPod) and the other into that plug and you'll be able to hear whatever is playing.
