Q: Honda civic 2009 ex-l with navigation $20620 a good price to pay?
Hi I finally got a quote from my dealer for. 09 civic ex-l coupe is this a good price? It does not include taxes and paperwork fees. Also I am planning to get the car on loan, is $4000 a decent down payment? What is the best apr deal I can get? Is it better to get financed through the dealer or should I do it myself thorough bank?
Thanks
A: fair price.... 4k is ALRIGHT but the more the better. apr depends on credit. fees and tax total will be around 4500, so there goes your DP. who ever has the best rate is who you should go with, everyone is diff so i cany give you a direct answer.
try to talk them down to 19750
Q: How much are you paying for 2009 Honda Civic EX?
What's the bottom line?
A: What I would do is use http://www.honda-cars-insider-advice.com/dealer-invoice.html to get the invoice pricing and incentives for the car you are looking at. That site also has some ideas on how to negotiate a great price. You can also use truecar.com to get a price curve for your area. They list average prices being paid in your area. Using both sites together really helps to get pricing and then learning how to negotiate your best deal.
Q: How fast wil a 2009 Honda Civic EX stock model go and how can i make it faster?
A: 1. Intake, search google for something called a Cold Air Intake or a Short Ram Intake.
Pro: This will improve your airflow +10hp~, Con: Noisier
2. Exhaust, look into "straight" piping, but ensure that your car will meet emissions tests (don't take off the catalyst). You can remove the resonator if you wish, Pro: Exhaust gases move out of the system faster.
Con: Noisier
3. Turbo/Supercharger. (this is the pinnacle and most expensive part to install). This will add about 150 or more hp.
Q: I much should I look to pay for a 2009 used Honda civic EX?
I'm looking to buy a new car this spring once I graduate college, and I want a 2009 or 2010 Honda Civic Ex (used). How much should I expect to pay for one with 20,000 miles that is reasonable? My assumption would be around $18,000-$18,500.
A: Ya 18,000 or 18,500 is what some 08 were running when I recently bought my civic ex. I just bought an 08 ex for 15,300 last month the sticker price was 18,100 but I talked them down cause dealers always try and get you. When looking at honda dealers and your getting ready to go through the paperwork/ contract do not let them talk you into buying Gap coverage or the extended warranty. I have Mercury insurance and got an extended warranty for 100,000 miles or 6 years for like $300.00 bucks and the dealer was trying to sell it to me for 1,500.00 and they also try and tack on the Gap coverage for another 1.400.00 that coverage is in case of a total loss they will pay out the remainder of the loan if your upside down on it. It too can be purchased for way less from your insurance company just call and ask them. They will also add on another 1,000 to 1,300 to activate the KARR alarm I did it just cause my last honda was stolen and I don't need to deal with that crap again its an expensive ass alarm but im my eyes worth it just so im not always paranoid someone will steal my car or break in Good luck and bring someone who is a good negotiater like your hubby or dad my boyfriend was my negotiater lol
Q: How much should I pay and negotiate for 2010 Toyota Corolla XLE, 2009 Honda Civic EX-L?
My girlfriend and I were recently in a car crash, and the insurance considers the car totaled. We expect, based on Kelly Blue Book, approximately $12k-$13k back. We've begun to look at cars to purchase, but neither of us are well versed in negotiations. We’ve bought a Consumer’s Report (CR) book on 2010 cars, and it seems to suggest we should be able to negotiate below the manufacturer’s MSRP (not the dealer’s retail price that includes the dealer’s markup). How do I get below that? What are the strategies or angles that I should work?
The two cars I’m looking at are the 2010 Toyota Corolla LE automatic 4-door and 2009 Honda Civic EX-L automatic 4-door:
(1) ON THE 2010 TOYOTA COROLLA, dealer wants to sell it at $17,950. MSRP is $16,750. CR says dealer invoice is $15,326. Dealer was willing to negotiate to $16,500 w/ 0% interest rate on 36 months, but saving $250 doesn’t seem like much. He also seemed willing to sell at $15,000 if we paid off in full with cash, but we never finalized that as an option. This was my first dealer that I visited, and first attempt at negotiation, which I attempted with the best of my abilities.
(2) ON THE 2009 HONDA CIVIC, dealer wants to sell it at $22,365. MSRP is $20,885. CR says dealer invoice is $19,203. Dealer was willing to negotiate down to $20,646. While I know I could have put more of an effort in this one, I did not as this was the last visit of the day and I was tired. I simply asked what the best price they could do was and I told them I would shop around to other Honda dealers. I am confused with their offer, as this is a 2009 car and their 2010 fleet is coming in a week or two. I figured they should be offering a much lower price on 2009.
What are your recommendations? How much should I pay for these cars? How do I negotiate down? CR seems to suggest negotiating up from the dealer invoice, but how do we do that if the conversation always seems to naturally go towards negotiating down from the dealer’s price? Finally, any suggestions on how to max out the money from the insurance company is also welcome.
Please, kind, thoughtful and helpful responses. THANK YOU EVERYONE.

A: You can beat them down a lot more that the prices that they are offering you. They get holdback and advertising rebates after the so called dealer invoice and many times there are factory incentive programs. I wouldn't pay more than $200 over factory invoice. Look at Sunday Boston Globe automotive classified section and you will get an idea of how much to pay. Lots of new car dealers advertise there and the prices will be low.
Just be patient they will negotiate. Also don't buy any of their extended warrantys or other stuff that the finance department will try to sell you.

Q: Would a 2009 Honda civic ex-l with nav be cheaper round December 09.?
i am turning 18 thanksgiving weekend and i am thinking about buying a 09 civic will the price go down or stay the same
A: They should be a bit cheaper than the 2010's that will be coming out September-ish. The best way to get great deals on cars is to buy on when the totally redesigned model hits the showroom.
Q: how much would the property tax be on a 2009 honda civic EX in virginia beach?
i payed about $19,000 on it
A: Depending on what they value your Civic at.
According to the city you will pay $3.70 per $100 of value.
Then you need to take into consideration what they call the CAR TAX RELIEF. On your car(2009) would be 57.5% the percentage changes on year of vehicle.
Vehicle with an assessed value of $10,000
Full tax amount = $10,000 x $3.70 =$370.00
Tax Relief of 57.5% = $212.75
Amount due = $157.25
Q: 2009 Honda Civic EX Coupe or 2009 mazda 6?
Its down between these 2 cars. The mazda is about 2grand more but just wondering opinions on this matter.
A: Both are great cars, but it boils down to what's more important for you. The Civic will have a lower ownership cost...it's cheaper, a little more reliable, and gets way better gas mileage (30 vs. 24). It will also hold its value somewhat better, if past indicators hold true. The 6 will obviously be larger, be roomier and more comfortable, and will have more power. Which fits your life better? That's your answer. Good luck.
Q: I brought today a brand new Honda civic EX 2009 for final sale price $18200. Is that was good deal?
A: yeah, that sounds about right.
Q: Should I buy a 2009 honda civic coupe ex or a 2010 kia forte coupe ex?
I can't pick between these two cars!!!
I only want coupes, no midsize malibus!
A: Get the Kia Koup ex. I think it looks better than the Civic and will perform abt the same in acceleration, handling and fuel economy.
Q: how to get the lowest price for a 2009 honda civic Ex?
According to cars.com, the invoice price on a 09 civic ex is $19,225, the MSRP price is $20,815, both including a destination charge, which I am aware that it varies depending on your location. Their smart ticket price is $18,603, which accounts for demand and everything. The internet price from the dealership in houston, texas is $20,775. What would be the lowest possible price that I could get on this car and how can it be done?
