Q: What's the difference between the 2009 Honda Civic DX, LX, and EX packages?
I'm looking to buy an 09 Honda Civic. For some reason, pinpointing the differences between these trims (DX, LX, and EX) has been difficult. I don't really want to go to the dealer not knowing which trim I want. Can someone run down a list or link to a site? Thanks.
A: DX
Honda Civic SedanThe DX offers the following features:
Tilt steering wheel
Height-adjustable driver seat
LX
The LX comes with:
16-inch wheels
CD player with MP3/WMA playback
Air-conditioning
Full power accessories
Keyless Entry
Cruise Control
EX
Honda Civic CoupeThe EX adds the following to the LX:
Alloy wheels
Moonroof
60/40-split rear seatback
2 extra speakers
Steering Wheel-Mounted Audio Controls and a portable music player jack.
In addition, there are two specialty models: the Civic Hybrid sedan and the Civic Si. Both are equipped to a level similar to the EX trim, though the Si also comes with a sport-tuned suspension, 17-inch wheels and special interior trim, while the Civic Hybrid has automatic climate control but no sunroof.[1] For the EX, Hybrid, and Si, satellite radio and a navigation system are optional.

There is no cover
Thanks
A: It is supposed to look like that. You took that picture aiming up, right? I checked our '09 Civic EX, and that is exactly how it looks.
Q: question about the honda civic DX 2009?
does the honday civic dx 2009 have power windows and power door locks on it?
A: The DX does have power windows but no power locks.
If you are thinking about this car remember it has no A/C, radio, cruise, arm rest, remote entry, powered mirrors, AUX jack or security system.
Q: Do Honda Civics DX-A 2009 have the wiring to have power doors installed?
Hi! I just bought a new Honda Civic 2009 DX-A. It doesn't presently have power doors (automatic lock and unlock). I'm wondering if the car already has the wiring the get the power doors? Can I just buy a lock unlock set at a car shop and install it myself?
A: Honda Civic Coupe DX Do not have the additional pins to supply power to the power door locks. The wires must be either properly tapped and fed, or the harness must be completely replaced with an EX/LX version ($300).
Q: Honda Civic 2009 DX A/T with AC price?
I went to the Honda dealer today to test drive a Honda Civic, I tried barging the price of the car, the MSRP is $ 23,707 Canadian they gave me $ 300 discount as a bargain do you think I can ask for more? And how much discount do you think would be acceptable to them? If I say take a 1000 off would that be asking too much? Oh yah I had them print out a quote with the $ 300 reduction should I take that to other dealers and ask for an even bigger discount?
A: Look in
Q: Is $17,000 a good price for a Honda Civic 2009 DX-VP?
This includes all taxes, etc.; basically out-of-showroom price.
A: In my area (highest taxes in the country), that price is awesome! What is the price minus the taxes, title, etc.? You might want to go to another dealer and see what there out the door price is, might be lower/ higher than this. See what it is than make your decision.
Q: How much reserve gas can my Honda Civic 2009 hold?
so today, i was so scared of stopping on the freeway, sinc emy gas light was pretty much on... i was lucky enough to make it home, to the gas station near my street. now I'm wondering, what is the fuel capacity of my honda civic 2009( sedan DX) reserve tank? please help =]
A: You don't actually have a reserve tank. there is only one gas tank. what you have is a light that comes on to let you know that your fuel is low. I can't speak for your vehicle but we have a 1996 Accord with stick shift and a 2002 CR-V 4WD EX with automatic. If the low fuel light comes on just before we get home from somewhere, I still have enough fuel in either vehicle to drive the 35 miles to work. We get 26mpg with the CR-V and about 31 to 33 mpg with the Accord.
If you want a better idea how far you can go with the low fuel light on then next time it comes on refill it as soon as you can. Make a note of how many gallons it took and subtract that from the capacity of the fuel tank. That will tell you how much fuel is still in the tank when the light first comes on. Multiply that with how many miles per gallon that you get and then you know haw far you can go until you run out.
All of this is assuming you live where we use miles and gallons as a measurement.
Q: Should I get a new 2009 honda civic or toyota corolla?
honda civic sedan dx 5-spd AT or toyota corolla base 4-spd AT.
This is my 1st car & I am going to get it tomorrow. I am just doing more research. After I have made my decision, I have to work on the finance and then the insurance.
Purpose: Is to get from pt. A to pt. B
Please send me links of any articles or reviews.
Also, please tell me why. simple terms, please. I am not an expert in cars. I am still learning. That is how I grow.
Thanks
A: Both good choices, what do you prefer. A good site with
lots of info. is www.edmunds.com
Q: How do I insert multiple cd's in my Civic cd changer?
I had just purchased a 2009 Honda Civic DX and it is equipped with an in-dash 6 cd changer. Though, I cannot insert more than 1 CD. When a CD is playing it blocks me from putting in another one, I can't put it multiple at once because once I've inserted a CD in, it plays instantly.
Please Help, as I would find it so much easier hitting a CD number rather than taking a CD in and out.
Also, can anyone give me more info on the AUX options. There is a jack for it but I don't know what stuff it takes.
Thanks in advance
A: you should have got a manual with it.
packed in with the owners manual
Q: 2009 Honda Civic LX-L Model?
on sites all i see are the EX-L models (that is, models with a leather interior)
i have a 20,000 price cap and im sure it all depends on whats available at the dealer, but it is possible to get an LX or DX model with a leather interior right? I dont NEED to go EX-L in order to get the leather interior, right?
because i dont want that heated seat nonsense
A: If you go to your local dealer they should be able to have leather put into the vehicle. It DOES NOT come from Honda with leather unless you go to the EX-L trim.
Honda does not build out options like other makes. You can only buy in trim levels then add accessories. ie: all-season mats, body molding, fog lights
Remember the DX does not have the following
A/C
Radio
Power locks
Power mirrors
Cruise control
Center armrest
Remote entry
Q: How exactly does a trade-in work?
I just bought a 2009 Honda Civic DX-VP for a great price, but I realized it didn't quite have all the features I wanted. I love the way it looks and drives, and I can deal with it now, but in 2 years or so can I trade it in for the LX* and not have my interest rates and monthly payments change too much?
*Of course if I go back to the same dealership, who had the lowest prices I've seen on any Honda models. I just realized I should have gotten the LX now, because the msrp was only about an $800 difference, but I don't know how different my payments and interest rates would have been, and in my opinion I got a great deal on a brand new VP
Haha the funny thing is when I mentioned the features my car doesn't have, my main concern was that it doesn't have power locks. I found that odd that a new car has power windows and even an auxiliary jack.....but not power locks. I just thought it would have been standard on ALL new cars by now!
A: well first off, trading in 2 yrs you will likely still owe more than the trade value. So you will be behind the 8-ball financially if you do this. The smart move is to learn to live without those luxury comforts, then drive it til the wheels drop off. After you have paid it off, keep putting your 'payment' into savings. When that Civic eventually dies on you, yuo should have enough cash to buy another car, and have no payments, plus earn interest on your savings. Imagine how nice that will be!
As to the 800, well you are smart. Take 800 divide it by the number of months in your contract- add about 20% for interest (remember its simple, not compound). If you have a 60 month contract, you are looking at about 20-22 more per month.
Q: Are drag rim's a legit company as far as wheels go for a car?
I found these rims for my 1998 Honda Civic DX Hatchback but can somone please tell me if there worth the investment thank you. heres the link below

A: Fancy wheels are not an investment. It's laughable to even ask. In financial technical terms, you'll be flushing your money down the toilet.
The good news is, you no longer need to ask whether any particular wheel is "worth it". They're all equally not worth it.
Q: Will these wheels be fine on 2009 Honda Civic DX?

A: All of them will fit without a problem, I'd stick with the 16's because they are the same with as LX-S, EX and up stock rims.
