Q: Is a 2008 Honda Civic LX an appropriate first car?
I'll be graduating this June from high school and I'll be getting a car for my graduation present! I found a 2008 Honda civic LX coupe that I adore. It's sporty it's cute and Honda's are reliable. Someone said the LX is a sports model but do insurance companies consider it a ''real sports car''? Anyways just wondering if you car people think it's a good first car. Thanks in advance!
A: YOu are not the only person who have ever met this kind of problem,I met this type of problem before.I have good experience here www.AutoInsuranceFree.info to solve the problem.
Q: I just bought a 2008 Honda Civic LX, This does not come with the navigation. How hard would it be to install.?
If I wanted to install a navigation system in there what would be the price and would it look good? Has anyone seen someone that has done this or a car that has one installed of my type? Thanks.
A: There are a lot of navigational gps systems available, some with voice. You can just plug it in the cigar lighter and stick it on your dash. If you want a built in look you can tie the wiring in to accesories in the wiring and locate a place indash that has the room to install it. If your unsure how to do this there are lots of installers that will.

Q: Good price: Honda Civic LX 2008 Manual for $22,275?
I am shopping for a 2008 Honda Civic LX Manual in white color. I am located in Calgary Alberta Canada and the car in the color that I want are all sold out, with the exception of one dealership that has one coming in September.
Background story:
Canada has an ecoRebate program where if you buy a Honda Civic manual, you qualify for $1,000 cash rebate. The ecoRebate program stops running this year. Honda will stop making the 2008 models in August, so I want the 2008 model so I can qualify for the rebate. In other words, time is running out.
I went to the dealership and they will not bargain with me, and will only offer the MSRP, which is $22,275. What tactics do you suggest for bargaining, or should I just go for the price?
I need help ASAP, I am stuck.
A: The dealer invoice on that car is 16,100. You can get one for low 17,000 range - at least in th US. Is it more in Canada for some reason? The MSRP here is 17,400.
BTW, the automatic is rated as better mileage on the freeway, and only 1MPG worse in the city.
Q: what is a fair price for a 2008 honda civic LX ?
the dealer's price was $16,387 but I tried to talk him down to $15,000 and his manager said they couldn't do it. Is this just a sales pitch? should i wait a few days for them to call me to see if i'm still insterested? i don't want to pay more than i have to. I want to pay a fair price - fair to me and fair to them. was $15K unreasonable?
A: Go to KBB.com
Type in all the info you know, and you will get a fair estimate.
It stands for Kelly Blue Book, which is the go-to authority for car values.
Q: How much would it cost to put a sunroof in a 2008 Honda Civic LX?
A: between $1,500-$2,000.
Q: should i buy a 2008 honda civic lx with a salvaged title? anything that i should beware?
i found a 2008 honda civic lx for sale for much less than going for because it is a salvaged title. it looks like a good deal but is there anything i should be careful for?
A: yes, DONT BUY A SALVAGE TITLE VEHICLE.
After my car was in an accident, it wasn't salvaged, but after it was fixed up professionally, it never drove the same again. Buying a car that has been in an accident is an unsure thing. It could've been a really good repair job, or a really crappy one, worst of all, the body work is never EVER the same again, no matter how good the repair man was.
I suggest you look into an older model that has a CLEAR title. The last thing you need is a car breaking down on you, or bodywork on the car falling off.
Q: what is a fair APR rate for a 2008 honda civic lx?
right now the dealer wants to give me a 6.9 apr on a honda civic lx worth 16,999.98 and i know i have a good credit score plus i am giving 2,000 down payment
A: Except for Commenter No. 1, No. 2 & 3 have given absolutely fantastic advice. What I can only add is that you could try your local Credit Union as well and see if you get any better rate.
Q: My 2008 Honda Civic LX seems to be getting terrible gas mileage.?
I don't do much driving because I'm in high school but it seems like I'm having to fill my car up every week. Any ideas what might be wrong?
A: If you drive like I did when I was in high school 50 years ago you won't ever get good gas mileage.
Don't use leaded gas as the other said, this will plug your converter and void the warranty.
As it is a 2008 it has to be new and the engine isn't broke in yet. You will need to drive it at varying speeds for 600 to 1000 miles to break it in. If you have more miles than this it may be the way you drive for a starter. A 2.5 L engine is NOT a race machine and never will be. If equipped with cruise control use it as much as you can. The computer will get better mileage than you. Keep the tires properly inflated, VERY important. Take your foot OFF the gas pedal before coming to a red light and cost in. NO jack rabbit starts either. Try this for one tank of gas and see the difference, then decide if it is worth it for you to drive this way to save gas of if you would rather spend the money for gas.

Q: 2008 Honda Civic LX Question?
I recently bought a new honda civc lx 2008 and i dont know how to change the time on the dashboard. plz help and tell me instructions on how to do it, i cannot find it in the manual either.
A: Push the clock button located next to the "AM" button just above the radio.
Depressing the button for about 5 seconds will make the clock falsh indicating that the clock can be reset.
You can rest the time my using the large channel keys for the radio/cd player. Two of the keys have arrows.
One key has a "H" and one key has a "M".
H changes the hour and M changes the mintues.
Once you have set the time just push the clock button again and you are done.
Q: Brand new 2008 Honda Civic LX Sedan?
I just purchased a brand new 2008 Honda Civic LX for $17,650 - I'm financing it for $276 a month with 4.79% interest rate for 5 years. Also, i'm from Northern NJ. Do you think i got a good price for it? if no - how much do you think i should have paid?
A: You got a really good deal. 4.79% APR is hard to get, you have to have excellent credit. Did the car have any extras? Like a spoiler? That can sometimes add a little to the price - $500 extra for the spoiler. The invoice price is 16, 890 or something like that. The dealer will always add an extra grand so they make money, no matter where you go. You did a good job though, I'm buying one this week but I won't get your deal, I owe alot on my trade in. Congrats on your purchase!
Q: 2008 Honda Civic LX Sedan?
I just got my 2008 Honda Civic LX Sedan and I cannot find cupholders in the back seat. Am I not looking hard enough or are there none. I also looked in the owners manual and did not see anything about them.
A: That's cause there are none! I have the Coupe LX and disappointed to see that same thing. No rear cupholders, EX & EX-L have it. Wasn't even a option or anything for the LX, but then again, the rear cupholders are almost never used in any of my cars!
Q: 2008 Honda Civic LX?
I just bought a brand new, blue, 2008 Honda Civic LX... any thoughts on what i should name it?
A: herbie, just kiddin, u should name it alexis, or drift queen
Q: 2008 Honda Civic Lx audio replacement?
I have owned my 2008 Honda Civic Lx for about 4 months now. Love the car and cant say enough about it but the audio quality of the stereo is awful at times. The bass sounds as if someone is thumping a pillow against my back window. I am wondering if I can replace just the speakers with aftermarket ones or should I go all out and get an entirely new system. Not planning on blowing a bunch of cash on the project but any suggestions would be appreciated!
Thanks.
I am aware of how bass should sound. The sound that the speakers make is a real harsh, rough tone. My wife's bose audio in her audi sounds much cleaner and less harsh.
A: While replacing the whole system will improve quality all around, just replacing the speakers isnt going to make you bass better at all. if all your looking for is just a little more kick without getting the speakers distorted, then just add a single 10" or 12". This will fill out your sound really nice. If you are looking for better sound all together, I would suggest saying screw it and making your ride enjoyable. Hope this helps
