Q: How can I cover the holes left when replacing the lip spoiler on my 2006 Honda Civic LX?
I have a 2006 Civic LX and I removed the lip spoiler on the trunk to apply a spoiler from the SI Civics. Holes in the trunk are left from the removal. Looking for a cheap way to cover these holes without having to get too mechanical.
A: go to your local hardware store (Home Depot, Lowes, Ace, etc.) and get Hillman nylon hole plugs (or something equivalent) that fits the size of the hole and some 22 grit sand paper to smooth the plug out to help the paint adhere. When painting it, you can stick it in styrafoam so it wouldn't move around and just use the touch up paint to paint it.(use as many coats as you need waiting ~20 between each coat, about 6 is enough.) After that you can spray 3 coats of spray enamel for added durability and make sure you let it dry for at least a day before using them.
Q: Anti theft device for 2006 Honda civic LX ?
What is a good "Anti Theft device" or Alarm for Honda Civic 2006, LX...something not very expensive. Any suggestions ?
A: Have a "kill switch" installed. Many Auto Body shops- will put Them IN -for around $50.- depending on the kind you want . They work GREAT- & only YOU will have Control of your Car ! :)
Q: Oil change for my Honda Civic LX 2006?
I have a 2006 Honda Civic LX. I want to do an oil change and the manual tells me to use 5w-20. Is it required?
A: It is recommended. Oil changes on Civics are hard to do because they are so low to the ground.. If you dont have a power lift, please be careful.. Its almost not worth it to do it yourself..
Q: Will removing the resonator on my 2006 honda civic LX auto cause any damage to the car?
How exactly is it done? I'm also planning on adding a Fujitsu CAI eventually.
A: It will reduce your back pressure, but that will probably not cause any damage to your car. It will, however, cause damage to your driving record if you run the car on public streets; it's illegal. You'll eventually be pulled over for making too much noise.
Q: I want a 2006 Honda civic LX four door manual-How much do you think I can talk to the dealer down? Any tips?
Any tips and such would be great. I believe with handling fees it comes out to like 17,000 or a little higher, but any car experts or dealers think I can get that lowered?
A: dont expect much less than 17 ---- cars with higher gas mileage are going quick - stick shift or auto. The high price of gas keeps the price of small 4 cyl cars high
Q: spiritually speaking is a 2006 honda civic LX with 60000 miles a good used car?
I'm not getting a lot of answers in the cars section and i know this section is normally more highly trafficked.
The car has 60,000 miles, great condition mechanically and aesthetically, and no history of accidents.
A: Have a mechanic, you trust, look at it and inspect the systems. Check the Blue Book values. Hondas and Acuras are excellent, reliable cars. Might be a good idea to check Consumer Reports for the year and model, also.
Q: 2006 Honda Civic LX...safe enough?
I've heard a lot about honda civics being safe cars. I've also heard they don't really start getting "all that safe" until the 2007 models. I am wondering if my 2006 civic LX that I hope to buy is relatively safe...granted it might not be as safe as more expensive and bigger cars. I can't afford anything too new.
Also, is an EX safer than an LX? I have heard this and researched it and the only difference I see between them are certain features (which are NOT safety related). It's also a coupe, are coupes less safe than 4-door? Many safety rating sites I view they don't even ask for the models or if it's a coupe or sedan...then others do...I am curious if the body style matters.
A: This site has some good information...........

Q: How do I play my Ipod in my 2006 Honda Civic LX?
I know I can use an FM transmitter thing, but what about the Aux button? I heard you can connect your Ipod through that. Is that true? If so, how? If not, then what can I do? Thanks!
A: Yeah just plug the iPod through the AUX jack

Q: 16" or 17" rims/wheels for my 2006 Honda civic lx sedan manual? Which are the best to get?
I just went into a street racing shop and was looking at some 17" rims. The guy told me that because I have a manual I should get 16s because they're lighter and I'll keep more power. He also said that I'd feel every bump if I got 17s. Can anyone help me with further details?
A: hondas suck???... so thats why they were rated number 1 in reliability, toyota taking 2nd place, not to mention how fuel efficient hondas are. muscle cars are gas guzzlers, and with the fuel prices these days?.. its not a practical choice.
and for the topic about the rims? 16s wud be fine. i have 16s. i tried the 17s? with the suspension of that car being made for smaller rims increasing it wud lessen the play of ur suspension.. meaning the higher you go the bumpier the ride.
Q: Would you recommend getting a 2006 honda civic LX?
Why do you recommend it or not recommend it?
A: no,a tuner probably owned it before and it was drove hard and is now basically junk.
Q: How much does the Black Book say a 2006 Honda Civic LX, goes for?
A: Black Book lists wholesale value, and is used by dealers.
2 door or four? Auto or stick?

Q: 2006 Honda Civic LX Coupe battery question?
My 2006 Civic LX coupe's battery wouldn't start about a week ago. I had it jump started and after running it for 30 minutes and restarting it, it wouldn't start again!! I had it jumpstarted again and brought it to the dealer to have it checked and the dealer told me that there was nothing wrong with my car. I didn't any more problems starting it after that.
Why would it not start TWICE to begin with? Any suggestions on why it would do this, and any suggestions on what I can do to prevent this from happening again?
A: It could be 3 things;
1. your battery has a dead cell already and it wont accept and hold charge anymore
2. your alternator might not be working properly
3. loose and dirty battery terminals and loose wiring between battery and alternator
Hope this might help!
