Q: What could be the expected lifespan of a 2006 honda civic?
I own a 2006 civic with 88,000 miles on it. I've always gotten checkups done, and oil changes regularly. How long can one expect a semi-newer car like this to last? 150000 miles? 250000 miles?
Any ideas?
A: It just depends on a lot of factors, some factors going all the way back to the assembly plant. But just keep up on the maintenance and it should last for quite some time. Some cars though, no matter how well you take care of it do just give out eventually while others keep going. Generally though it should be good to at least 200k miles, especially a Honda.
My 1995 Civic has 194k on it and it still runs extremely well, besides a belt I've gotta replace. I take care of it the best I can, but I drive it like I stole it lol.
On the other hand, a family members 1997 Accord with around 150k that isn't driven too much, probably only has another couple years or 20k miles left in it, mainly cause they don't take care of it like they should.
Q: Can you fit a baby seat in a 2006 Honda Civic Coupe?
My boyfriend is buying a car and I'm trying to convince him to get something practical for having children. He wants to get a 2006 Honda Civic Coupe. I'm not sure that will be big enough for kids, much less taking a baby seat in and out of.
Do you think this will be a practical car?
A: i read this as "can you fit a baby seal in a 2006 Honda Civic Coupe" and was like lolwut?
Q: Do all honda civic from 2006 to now have MP3 compability for your ipod?
My parents are thinking of giving me a 2006 Honda Civic and it doesn't have a sunroof or doesn't tell if it has MP3 compability ,so I was wondering do all honda civics from 2006 to now let you plug up your ipod.
It's a 2006 Honda Civic Coupe
A: "Auxiliary audio input jacks are standard equipment on LX and above trim levels (coupe), and Hybrid and EX models (sedan)"
If it's a sedan, then it won't have it (no sunroof indicates it's not an EX+). If it's a coupe, there is a good chance that it might have it.
Q: How much would a black 2006 Honda Civic, w/ less than 50,000 miles get for a trade in value?

A: Check Kelley Blue Book or Edmunds for the value of it.
Q: I want to trade me honda 2006 civic in for a cat of lesser value?
I want to trade me honda 2006 civic in for a cat of lesser value. Perhaps a used car. I am looking to lesser my car payments if not totally rid of them. I am not to happy with this particular car (not necessarily civics). I might owe around 15,000 still. Not quite sure. Lets just say that. Any suggestions or tips you can give me. Thanks for your help.
A: I'll give you a cat for your car.
Q: Is this a good deal on a 2006 honda civic?
im 16 and looking for a first car. i found a 2006 honda civic with 71, 225 miles on it for 9,983 dollars. my parents agreed to give me 5,000 and i work so i can come up with the rest. does it have to many miles? do you think the price can be lowered?
A: This may be a little overpriced, depending on the condition of the car other than mileage. Will it need new tires, brakes, belts, etc. soon? Does it have any "under the hood" issues? If your family has a regular mechanic you take your cars to, see if you can take the Civic to him/her for a little inspection. My son bought a used car a few months ago and having our mechanic look over his first choice saved us a ton of headaches and led us to keep looking and find an even better deal on an Accord. You'll have to pay the mechanic for his/her time, but it will be worth it either way.
A useful tool for getting a range of reasonable prices on used cars is at Edmunds web site. Their 2006 Civic info is at:

Q: Can I afford a used 2006 Honda Civic?
Or whatever used car (japanese cars only) for that matter? I wanna buy this one 2006 honda civic. It's offered for approx. $13,600. It is about a thousand above its kelley blue book so I might bargain to 11,000. I have 3000 stored in the bank for down and I make about 700 a month. I will make my parents guarantors. Do you think I can?
A: Too expensive, look for a car in the 6k-8k range.
And what about insurance, taxes, gas... changing oil, repairs... all cars even Japanese have to go the mechanic sooner or later.
Q: How much should new rotors for my 2006 honda civic cost?
I ran over a metal coil and I believe I bent or shot my rotors, as now whenever I drive the car there is a metal on metal sound. I'm taking it to the shop tomorrow, but I didn't want to get reamed on the price. Also, should I take it to a regular mechanic or honda specific? i'm thinking the honda specific might be more expensive.
A: $20.00-25.00ea but remember to also get knew brake pads 15.00-20.00
Q: How to remove stereo on 2006 honda civic?
I want to take out the stereo in the civic that I just bought. It is not a stock stereo but I can not get the dashboard off and I was wondering if anyone has done it before or knows where the screws are. I don't want to take it in because if they can do it then I should be able to too. Does anyone have any ideas for this frazzled young lady?
A: This link has some pics. Takes some time but isn't hard.

Q: I would like to change the brakes on my 2006 honda civic. Any advice or manual stuff online?
It has been a long while since I have changed any brakes on any car and just really want to make sure that I have all the info that I need to change the brakes. It's not I can go anywhere afterwards. Any info, groups or online manual. Please let me know that would be great. Thanks.
A: You shouldn't have to change your brakes unless you have A LOT of miles on your car and you can hear a noise from them when you brake. Most of the time you only have to change out the front ones. Because the weight and momentum go forward when you brake. If you do have to change them, I agree go to Autozone and ask them how to change them. They might not have a book on how to fix it though. 2006 is still "newish to have a repair guide on it. Your best bet it to look up the hanes book online.
Q: Where do I buy the cheapest battery for my 2006 Honda Civic?
Battery died the other day, very low on cash, I want the cheapest battery I can get for the time being. Where do I go?
A: walmart
Q: What low profile tire should I get for a 2006 Honda Civic Sedan?
Going with 17s on the car and im gonna go with 215/45/17 tire size. Peformance is important, but not top proiority. Looking for a tire with top notch life, as in treadwear rating..and also very high quality build as well. Any suggestions would be appreciated thanks in advance.
A: A little late to your question but what the heck. No matter what type of tire you get, manufacturers always make low pro tires last very little. One reason is the obvious money. If you get too hard of a tire your ride will be very rough, if you get too soft then the life of your rims will drop and so will the life of the tire. So don't beat your self too hard over the brand rather the type and it's life. I have yet to see a low pro tire go over 20,000km. GOOD LUCK and Might like to refer to the label on your door to get the proper size of rim and tire so the cost is not so hard on your pocket.
Q: Is the body of a 2006 Honda Civic Hybrid metal or plastic?
I want to buy a magnet to put on my car, but I don't know if it will stick.
A: The body is not plastic, it's aluminum. So, you can go buy the magnet, since it will stick.
Q: How do I get the wiper blades off of my 2006 Honda Civic?
I want to change my wiper blades but I can't get the old ones off. The owners manual says to press the two tabs on either side of this cover thingy and pull straight out to get the cover off. Well I tried that, and got some other people to try that for me, and we had no luck. Is there some trick to this that I don't know about?
A: go to advance they do it.
