Q: 2004 HONDA CIVIC SI CRASHED ?
Ive recently crashed my 2004 honda civic si. The front end frame is pretty bent the radiator cracked , driver side control arm is broken but thank god the engine is untouched. So heres the question what would be the cheapest way to fix it? i found this 02 SI that has crashed and tumbled but the frame was untouched in the accident, Im thinking of buying the frame off the guy and putting my body, engine, etc onto the frame. doable?
A: Unfortunately, there really isn't a cheap solution in this situation. The 2004 and 2002 honda civic si may look and seem alike, but are fairly different. They have two different ecu's, the front and rear looks, suspension , wheel size, and the flywheel in the transmission. So depending on whats crashed on both cars you can only switch over certain parts of the car and sacrifice some of the upgrades they made in 2004.

Q: 2004 Honda Civic Si Owner Question?
What grade type is required for GAS ( 87, 89, 91) ?
A: Premium fuel is recommend for best gas mileage and performance. You could get away using a lower grade fuel, but performance and MPG will suffer a little.
Q: i have a 2004 honda civic si?
my question is can i add a blow off valve in my car with out purchasing a turbokit????
A: NO, the blow off valve works off of positive pressure from the actual turbo, not vacuum which a naturally aspirated car has. the pressure from the impeller spinning creating boost releases when the clutch pedal is pressed causing the PSSHHHHH sound you hear. Without the positive pressure you will NEVER get this sound.
Q: given a 2004 honda civic si that will go 135 mph, how much HP will it take to go 150 mph?
assume it is lowered and has front lip.
assume red line of 6800
indicated any gearing changes req'd
we won't be going 150mph.
going for a Si GT. fast and effiecient at plus hiway speeds. 500 mile range.
100 lbs lighter, need a little more.
A BryanC intake
so at 85 mph what can be gained with aero effieciency? If only 3% i would buy it.
A: get turboed and stretch out the gearing/final drive.
I had an 03 w/ the greddy kit, fmic, 8psi, 2.5 straight-pipe custom exhaust. i put down 222hp 232tq to the wheels.
but you dont need to go 150mph
Q: Whitch Is Better Honda Civic SI or LX?
Whitch Is better 2004 HONDA CIVIC SI or 2007 HONDA CIVIC LX?
And What LX Have that Dx-G Doesnt?
A: The Si is the sporty version of the Honda Civic. So I'd say the Si is the better buy. In this case the years aren't too great apart so it still makes the Si the better of the 2
Q: Any suggestions on locating 2000 - 2004 2 door hatchback Honda Civic SI?
Looking only for Honda Civic SI in good condition 2000 - 2004
A: craigslist.com
Q: I test drove a used (2004 i think) Honda civic Si hatchback(manual)...?
I drive a jeep wrangler(manual) and the first thing i noticed was that the clutch was way different and easyer to engage the transmissionI(in the civic).
can someone explain this to me. What is the diff. How does it work. I didnt hardly have to move the clutch pedal to engage.
Needless to say i had never driven a car like that and it was very fun to drive!!
A: the civic clutch has a closer gear ratio, making it easier to shift, the clutch is designed for high rev shifting and smoother shifts. jeep shift is like rowing a boat across the panama canal it is designed more for off roading and cruising rather than quick precise shifts
Q: is a 2004 bmw 330i better than a 2000 honda civic si, performance wise and comfortability wise?
bmw is automatic and honda is manual both have about between 75000-85000 miles
A: Performance wise. It is about the same.
The BMW is more comfortable since it is a luxury car.
Both have around 200HP.
The Civic Si should be faster since it is manual.
Manual cars are lighter so they are quicker, faster, and handle better.
Q: Can you help me make my car faster? 2004 Honda Civic Coupe - Manual Transmission?
I own a 2004 Honda Civic Coupe... not an si... I want to make it run a bit better, have a bit more get up and go, but I don't want to lose the great gas mileage!!!
PS it's a manual transmission.
Any suggestions.
Please don't tell me to get a different car, or make any cracks about hondas because I love my car and wouldn't dream of getting rid of it.
A: Sure, you can spend tens of thousands of dollars on a turbo, rebuilding the engine, getting an lsd, altering the suspension, getting new wheels and tires for better traction, ripping everything out of the car, for weight reduction.......
And you'll still be slower than many stock vehicles.
And you'll lose all your gas mileage. And shorten the lifetime of the engine.
If you want a fast car, get a fast car. I dont' care if you don't want to be told that, it's simple logic.
Q: What car is better / faster? A 2004 Acura TL or a 2008 Honda civic SI?
My cousin has an 04 non type-S TL and he is always telling me that he can beat me. I have been getting intersted on da civic si.. If I get the si will I be able to beat him in a race? my cuz TL is stick shift, I know that can make a huge difference...
Please also give me your personal opinion about wich one looks better and wich one you think is better. If you can, plz tell me the pros and cons out of both of them..
Thank you
Yes da civic si is only made stick shift. And I am pretty sure that there is a 2004 TL
Yes da civic si is only made stick shift. And I am pretty sure that there is a 2004 TL
A: Of course you can beat one.
You only need a good Aftermarket Intake and a Race Header with just those two mods you don't have to worry about the TL.
There are many SI owners that had done low 14's with those two mods. All depends how good of a driver you are.
In any case right now there are enough aftermarket support to put a 2006+ Civic Si on the 12's naturally aspired.
And the best part you can still can drive it on the streets every day without problems.
Q: 2004-2005 Audi A4 1.8t Ultrasport vs 2006-7 Honda Civic Si?
I am looking for a used car, and I am pretty sure about these two. The Audi I have in mind has a Revo Stage II chip already installed, so that should bring the hp and tourque up some, and I like the Audi design-wise. It has 43k miles, and it is listed for 11,290.
The Civic si's run a little more, like 12-13k for an 06. I am just wondering whether it would be better buying the slightly older audi or the newer si. Does anyone have any knowledge of the reliability of the 2004-2005(not 2005.5) 1.8t or any problems that have occurred? They both get great mileage and are relatively quick. I know Hondas are about as reliable as you can get, so I am just wondering what you would choose and how reliable the A4 would be.
A: I would say Audi, but in this case, since you picked the A4 with a turbo, there is a great chance the turbo will not last you. Which means I would probably go with the civic. If you can find a 6 cylinder A4 go for that instead. Anyway, look at the bright side if you do get the civic, insurance and maintenance will be much less than an Audi.
